Welcome to your official PRE-MTC experience!

I finally broke down and created a blog just for YOU.  So often I come across amazing tidbits of knowledge or meet new and exciting people in the store and want to share what I've learned about a missionary's life.  Guess what? Now I get to! So sit back and relax as we explore and share together what makes US so unique for every missionary out there.

First off...I'm a single mom of four sons: Hunter (19), Spencer (17), Michael (14), and Cameron (12). (Aren't they all so handsome?) You can see right away that understanding a missionary's life is more than what I do for work, it's my life and passion! In fact...I get to cut my oldest son's hair tonight for his official mission picture.  :D Not too short so that it doesn't spike up.  Yaaaa me!

When the mission age changed last year, it impacted our little family as I had both a Senior and Junior in Highschool.  As excited as I was, I have to let my boys go at the time they feel most comfortable with. Hunter has been working with his Dad for this summer until he has felt like it's the right time.  Spencer is applying for Utah State and wants to attend college for a year before putting his papers in.  The beautiful thing about this is that it is now customized just for each person! All worthy young men can submit their papers between 18-25 years old.  It's so important that they feel when the right time is for them.  I have to admit.  I'm a very passionate and excited individual and I soooo would have gone at the age of 19 in a heartbeat! We'll let the boys come up to speed with their mom's enthusiasm when they choose to.  I have patience.  :) So join me on our adventure of a missionary's life.
